The Forget Me Not Gala began in 2023 as a heartfelt initiative by Jennifer Valenzuela, inspired by her own personal journey. Jennifer’s beloved Abuela (grandmother) was affected by Alzheimer’s disease, leaving a profound impact on Jennifer’s life. Witnessing her grandmothers experience and the challenges faced by caregivers, this motivated Jennifer to take action and create an event that would make a difference.

Over the past three years, the Gala has grown into a vibrant and uplifting tradition, bringing together a passionate community dedicated to supporting the Alzheimer Society of Ontario. Each year, the event expands in both size and impact, with all proceeds helping to provide essential resources, research, and support for those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

This special evening is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of resilience, compassion, and hope. The Gala pays tribute to the individuals and families navigating the challenges of dementia, while recognizing the tireless efforts of caregivers who offer unwavering love and care.
